Google hosted its 12th annual conference in May 2019. This was a 3-day conference that began on 7th May 2019 and ended on 9th May 2019. We have accumulated all that was announced at the Google I/O 2019. While people were watching Live videos from across the globe, this year the conference that was held at Mountain View, California was a “No Parking Event” to lessen the traffic blockage. Despite some updates being predictable, Google still had a plethora of announcements catering to AI & software updates that included Android Q, AR search & next-gen Assistant. Here are the top announcements made this year that has left everyone spell-bound. Let’s take a peek through them.

The tech giant took the opportunity to launch its latest series in the Pixel smartphones – Pixel 3A and Pixel 3A XL at this event. Though most of us knew what its features and price are going to be like, Sundar Pichai said on Day of the Conference “building for everyone is the principle philosophy of Google”. They will be making the 3A series available from 15th May and is said to give tough competition to Apple, OnePlus & Samsung in the premium category. 3A is priced at $399 and 3A XL at $479.

They believe that everyone should be able to enjoy the technology and its advantages. The new Live Caption from Google is going to be a boon for the deaf and hard-of-hearing people. This can also be a great addition for the movie watchers when they are watching low-voiced movies on their Smartphones. With Live Caption, you can easily get the real-time transcription from any video, even the ones that are running live. They use the local ML technology instead of cloud storage without the need of having an internet connection.

Henceforth you can download the Android Q Beta 3 version. This new latest version features the Dark Theme for every Android App. Dark theme is true black that helps to reduce battery usage. They have also added the new feature Focus Mode that allows you to pick apps you wish to avoid for a specific time period. It also added support for 5G natively. Don’t be surprised if you see suggestions to pop up on your Map when you get any message with address or route.

10x Faster Google Assistant

10x Faster Google Assistant

Google’s Assistant was the most interesting announcements that Google made the I/O 2019. It was also the main highlight of Keynotes. It can now run locally on smartphones and will be 10 times faster doing tasks with zero waiting time because it has a got an amazingly high-speed boost up. Earlier it needed to go through 100 GB of data, but it has been reduced to 500 MB.

Sundar Pichai CEO Google laid emphasis on Privacy and for that, they will soon add the incognito mode. This feature was rolled after they declared the Auto-Delete feature. With AR users will be able to understand and use the maps better, where they will get cues preventing taking the route or getting lost in a trip. It will let you see the directions through the camera where arrows will be seen in the actual place.

The Google Home Hub has been rebranded under the Nest brand along with the Mammoth Next Hub max that has a 10 inch HD screen with a built-in camera. The most interesting thing about this is that there is a switch that will disconnect the mic & camera electronically when u need your privacy.

Google Lens ARGoogle Lens AR

Google Lens gets a big update by adding AR to it. According to Google, the Lens can be an extra help by finding the exact book in the library, it will also add images based on the details provided by Google Maps.

Every year you will see some amazing updates and announcements made by Google, last year also in the Google I/O 2018 there were some interesting updates and this year there is more than what we expected.
